    holding pressure overnight?!?!

does the level change if you hold a few revs for a short time then let go (with the cap off)?

I'm not sure about that I will give that a try in the morning when the engine is cold. I do have some fault codes too. I'll post shortly

Sorry, I should have been more clear. Not had pressure test, just opened cap after being stood overnight and there was an escape of air and the coolant rose a little

that doesn't sound right, i would imagine there may be a small bit of pressure after some time - but not enough to change coolant level?

Same again this morning. Not alot of pressure but enough to raise in tank about 10mm. Then at work after short drive, opened cap and pressure brought it back upto minimum

Hi swalker. I stated car with expansion tank cap off this morning and revved a few times. It did nothing to the levels. I've not come to work in it today so I couldn't rev it again while warm with cap off. It's really frustrating me

I cleared the codes, and they came back. I can do another scan tonight when I'm home. I am right in thinking the coolant pump in the codes is the one under the windscreen ? It has been replaced with genuine part from audi dealer.
