Difficult one as VAG no longer say five years but I don’t have the spec for that to hand. My business partner has a 2005 AllRoad and we did that at six years. £1100 is about right but would not cover and unforeseen problems such as poly V tensioner pivot wear or a are case of the fan drive hub bearing being worn which is £395 and genuine only.

Yeah they’ve already placed on quote costs could increase if other problems or things are found , they also aren’t sure if the INA pump they are supplying is a metal blade or plastic blade type , last one I fitted was INA metal.

Do you know if INA offer a choice in material for the pump? As I have the part number that matches the OE Audi one but the INA listings don’t seem to mention the blade compound

    Audi is 059 121 004
    INA equivalent is 538 034 910

They match up as same part but visually the Audi is plastic and most pictures of the INA show a silver colour or obvious metal blade but not any wording confirming it’s metal

Any idea mate? Worse case they can simply order one and see they just being a bit ****** saying if I don’t like their parts I can supply them lol and it’s not that Iv told them just trying to confirm so they can supply.

We use the Febi kit, I don’t care if the impeller is sheet metal, cast or moulded plastic.

No problem mate, I’ll be doing the job anyways even thought it’s only 5 years/20k just for peace of mind

And I’ll have to just order the INA pump to visually check I guess

    Cheers
