Should I be replacing the servo then and / or master cylinder?

I haven’t pulled back that boot to inspect further. Is that possible without causing further damage?

Also picture is 180 degrees out.

I would pull the MC forward and have a peek inside to see if the servo is full of fluid; I would get my endoscope in there, if not then that wetness can't be from the MC.

So unbolt the MC from the front of the brake servo ?

Then get an endoscope in there?

Why would the servo be full of fluid?

Would that not suggest the mc is letting brake fluid past the seals and then into the brake servo?

If fluid is in there so does that mean the brake servo needs replacing? Part number 1K1 614 106A.

Is the fluid running down through the servo and ending up behind the brake pedal boot in the picture above?

If the MC leaks it goes into the servo, it isn't a common problem but we spray brake cleaner in there and blow it out with an air line, repeat until happy. You don't want any moisture in there because the internals are only very lightly protected from corrosion.

If the MC is leaking shouldn’t it be overhauled or replaced? Or is that asking for trouble when you come to bleed the system.

I’ll take look and see what the situation is with MC and brake servo.

I have PR code 1ZF so it’s the ATE model one I need…

    MC 1K2 614 019 B

If it has leaked into the beak servo will that also need to be replaced as well or can you get away with just removing the excess with brake cleaner and an air line?

It should be OK to clean the servo and blow it dry, don’t inhale the vapour
