Hello all, I hoping i can seek help about my recently purchased 2.0 TDI quattro

last month I bought a 2007 2.0 TDI SE Quattro with a BRD engine with 70,000 miles. The car had a blown turbo and what seemed heavy blow-by pressure but from what I've read this is quite normal.

After Purchasing the car we have replaced the turbo with a new unit and new turbo feed pipe
But after learning online about the balance shaft failures decided to replace the balance shaft with a upgraded one from KMB parts before any mishaps.
We have now installed the new balance shaft and longer hex key using guides from similar engines found online coupled with the haynes manual and lots of sleepless nights.

Unfortunately now after the car comes up to temperature we are getting a red oil pressure warning in the car.
I will test the oil pressure tomorrow as I just received a tester kit in the mail.

Car sounds spot-on, quieter even, also when you remove the oil filler cap oil is present being spat out kinda indicating oil circulation.

Could anybody suggest what I could have done wrong to cause the oil pressure light to come on?

We have Checked the Oil levels,Checked sensor on oil filter housing is connected
When replacing the shaft everything spun nice and freely once tightened back up, there was the play in the teeth as desired
The car is off the road until this is fixed.
    Thank you for your time.
    Dean

It may be that the reason the turbo failed was low oil pressure so there may be damage to the engine, a proper pressure test will tell, the spec for this is a minimum 2 Bar @ 2K rpm with the oil at 80 degrees C but I am not happy unless I see 3 Bar.

Hi Crasher thank you for helping me.

    I think we've fixed it.
Tested the oil pressure and once the car come up to temperature were are getting 20psi at idle and up to 70psi above 2000rpm (bear in mind the pressure tester was not that expensive item around £40)
We took the car for a run with the pressure gauge visible through the windscreen and even on a hard pull the pressure never dropped, yay

After some head scratching we tried a new Oil pressure sensor on the oil housing and bingo! no more oil pressure warning in the dash display
Were guessing it just must be bad luck the sensor packed up at the same time

This forum is a great place for information
    Thank you for your help.
