Been a while since I posted here. I have owned a B8 A4 allroad, 3ltre with an S Tronic box, for the past 2 years. 140000 miles. Drives pretty well, but when braking and coming to a slow stop, the car seems to bounce forward before stopping. Not all the time and not when braking firmly. The garage can't find anything that might be the cause.
    Anyone experienced anything like this?

Just the once. Feels almost like the brake comes off then on again. Garage say the calipers are fine.

Interesting, suggests to me a ball joint, the lower main one is prone to failure and very hard to tease movement out of in the air.

I mentioned that to the garage, they are going to check it out. They are also going to look at the driveshaft carrier bearing.
    Thanks for that.

    Hi,

I have the same issue, mine is a 2013 B8.5 with a multitronic gearbox. But I have a series of bounces when I come to a slow stop.
As OP said, it feels like the breaks come on and off.

Could it be the same cause? I was either way planning to do a complete suspension overhaul.

Restarting an old thread. The garage found a lot of play in the passenger side front driveshaft and attempted to change the bearing, but are now saying that the gearbox is at fault and needs replaced. Anyone any thoughts on this?
