    Looking for advice.

    V5 2.3L AQN motor.

Engine missing constantly, and indicators flash intermittently (twice quickly) at random intervals.

Missing to 1 cylinder (furthest from gear box). Identified by no spark (ie. removed coil packs one by one to note change, spark evident to all coil packs except no 1 - no change when removed no coil pack and no spark evident).

Tried a few spare coil packs (bought a set of 5 previously) and no change.

Cannot see any wire breaks in loom over top of engine.

I do not have a code scanner, so cannot give any fault readings.

At a loss at the moment.

If a coil pack is removed from the plug when running it blows, the way to do this if you must is to disconnect the wiring plug, without a decent code reader you are fighting a loosing battle.

    Update:
I left the battery disconnected overnight (12 hours).
    Started the car.
Running fine no issues. Did two 1/2 hour trips and then two longer 1 1/2 hour drives. Still running fine.
A mystery to me (and a waste of a few hours at this stage)

So, will leave alone and see how we go.

Nothing new, I have given up asking why and just accept it.
