I have a 2010 1.6tdi Golf. The engine light popped on and a scan showed it was the DPF pressure sensor.

I replaced it today and fired up VCDS for the adaptation. I don't have coding II so I used the UDS Protocol.

I was able to select "Select Adaptation of diff. pressure sensor particulate filter" and did that but there was no option for "Select Resetting of learned values of difference pressure sensor".

I decided to check the values and I have the following

Ignition on, engine off
IDE00427-ENG101722 - Particle filter; difference pressure - 77.28 hPa
IDE00428-ENG100917 - Particle filter; offset for differential press. - 80.02 hPa

Idle
IDE00427-ENG101722 - Particle filter; difference pressure - 82.75 hPa
IDE00428-ENG100917 - Particle filter; offset for differential press. - 80.02 hPa

I’ve tried several times to redo the adaptation but it stays the same. I have even tried the manual adaptation (ignition on for 5 seconds and off for 40 seconds x 5). But the values don’t go down.

Do these values seem right? I was expecting them to be far lower? In fact I was expecting the offset to go to zero after adaptation? Am I missing something? I appreciate any help you have.
