    I have the LED on the door permanently on and the Audi dealer says the fault lies with the internal alarm sensor (and the part is no longer available).
    I've tried two from eBay with no luck - however my car has this extra device underneath the normal sensor and I was wondering what it was. Unable to find any information on it. .cheers.

    OK thanks. . any idea where I could get one? The light units I've seen on ebay don't have them and Audi say part no longer available. . cheers

    try putting 8E0951177 in ebay and you should find loads

    Yes, done that but that is the part number for the sensor that sits over the top of the one I want. Bought two already and they don’t have it underneath. Just bought another and I think it has one.
