    Hi guys,

so quick question, how often do you refill your coolant in a Polo 6C?
    Mines the 1.0 TSI.

I had mine roughly on the max mark exactly a month ago, and today it was on the min line.

I mean that doesn't seem right at all, but no visible leaks from anywhere unfortunately.

    Thanks

I had it serviced in December at MidlandVW, then I topped the coolant up like the last week of January as it was basically on min line, & then I topped it up again 2 days ago as the cooling fan was really loud for some reason so I checked the coolant and it was on min again.

So there's a leak somewhere for sure yeah?

I mean hopefully not head gasket, I checked and there's no creamy residue or anything so that's a start.

I've checked with VCDS and I got a code for the fan:

    Center armrest control head 1:

    1 Fault Found:
    4529 - Fan 1 Control Circuit
    P0692 00 [044] - Short to Plus
Intermittent - Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear

Guess that's why it's kicking in loudly, at random intervals. Didn't do it on a whole 1 hour drive yday, but then got in the car after it was parked up for an hour and it was just loud, lol, but today it's fine.

Over a certain speed, the airflow through the grill is sufficient to keep the fan off and can be so effective at cooling the thermostat starts to reduce flow through the radiator. You could be loosing coolant from the reservoir during slow moving or stationary traffic due to overheating, the gauges on modern VAG products are useless.
