hi all, i got these two codes from a VCDS scan. When driving the car it show glow plug light flashing and think it went into limp mode. i pulled over turned off the engine, restarted it and there were no issues.

Are these two components related to each other? I replaced the intake manifold in summer 2019, so if that is faulty can it make the booster pressure regulator go in to fault mode?

    car is a 2007 2.0 litre tdi A6

the last time i took off the egr valve and other components around it to clean must have been about summer 2018.

I have read somewhere that the turbo might need to come off and have a clean.

A BRE engine, I need to check the diagram at work but overboost is usually a carbon clogged turbo.

thanks Crasher, if it is a carbon clogged turbo would a blast up the motorway in 4th gear doing 70mph sort it? Some kind of engine fluid poured into the fuel tank? or take off the turbo and clean it manualy? I have seen lots of vidoes on the internet of people spraying oven cleaner in the turbo and leaving it for a few hours.

The inlet manifold valve (control) motor & the turbo pressure control share the same 12v feed & a inlet manifold tuning valve. The inlet manifold can be checked out by it has 4 terminals marked 1-2-3-4 a 12v & term 2 & earth term 1 if your valve does not work replace it

If is was the feed from SA2 you would expect N75, 345, N316, N275n N79, N144 and J179 errors unless the red/blue welded connection in the harness near the ECU has a selective fault so I would say clogged up turbo (no, an Italian tune or snake oil treatments do not work long term if at all) and a failed V157, both very common faults and the operation of both can be checked in output tests and basic settings.
