the A3 is playing up again! glow plug emission warning light and limp mode intermittent.
    Only fault code is
01027 rear warm air fan (v47)
is anybody able to give me heads up as to what this code is and may it be the issue?

    I get that as

16787(P0403)001027 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve (N18): Malfunction

Which controller is that in? Which code reader are you using? As far as I can see no 2009 A3 has a V47...

Hi Crasher....thanks as usual! I have used three scanners.
An elderly but ok Sealey which includes Audi gave that code and cleared it too.
An up to date foxwell scanned no code but maybe I dont know how to use it fully yet haha.
An old cheapo VW AUDI one also picked the same code up.

Wife took car out today and it threw on the glow plug light, went into limp. She stopped the car and restarted and all was fine.

That is what it does...stop and restart and all good for a bit.

I have not re scanned yet but will tomorrow.

    Its a 2.0 tdi 170bhp CBBB engine.

Could it be EGR? but what that code means is a mystery to me.

    Cheers

It will be full of crud, part number 03L 131 510 K. For what they cost aftermarket (Pierburg are perfect, as OE) from our point of view it is more cost effective to replace than and the V157 flap in front of it will be clogged solid too, disgusting job.
