I am struggling to find what it is and where it is on the engine so I can check it and replace if necessary. Could anyone help me? I have asked on the vcds and been told it is a concern with the N489 cylinder head coolant valve which is located on the left front side of the engine. I cannot find any info or pictures of this item and even contacting my local audi, they don't know what this valve is. I am a bit stuck!!!!!!!!
    Thanks in advance
Hey Scotty, have you resolved this?
I had mine complaining for some time now and this morning, it added "Intake Manifold Runner Control Bank 1 stuck closed". It might or might not be connected but it's time to resolve it all.

We had that on an A4 2L TDI a few months back and even a new genuine manifold would not cure it, the problem was the ECU.

Hi Johnny31. I ended up changing the valve which sits on top of the engine, although my problems went a little deeper, with an RAC man poured cold water into my overheated engine which caused cylinder head gasket failure! Ended up with another engine, new turbo and new egr cooler. Had to get a mortgage for it!!
