Electric window not working

Hi all,

We recently had a few issues with our Golf Mk6 which in the end resulted in us blanking the EGR I believe after many attempts to fix and replacing the turbo which was quite costly. As part of this process it had to be remapped apparently.

We don’t know if it’s coincidence but since the remap, the driver side electric window stopped working. The passenger side is fine.
I’ve checked the fuse and I’ve checked the cables in the rubber boot between the door and the body. All seems fine.
When you press the switch, there’s no noise so it doesn’t appear that the motor is trying to open the window.

We’ve been in touch with the guy who did the remap and he’s convinced the remap wouldn’t have caused this.

Any ideas or suggestions? Is it a coincidence with timing or could it be linked!?

Deleting the EGR is illegal and an MOT failure.
