Hi, I just replaced my column switch due to a full beam fault, (see 2011 Polo full beam not working... ) but now I have a couple of warning lights for steering and stability control.

I assume the steering angle sensor needs to be coded in, but is there anything I can do with a fault code reader?

    Thanks

Usually a test drive with some lock to lock at standstill will clear the fault, if not code read time.

Thanks, I did try that. It clears when you switch off the motor with steering pointed straight ahead, but comes back as soon as I steer.

It doesn't throw up any fault codes, so I suspect it needs coding into the car...

You didn't replace the slip ring did you? If there is a dash light on for the steering, a code will be stored, what are you using?
