Hi. I have a 2019 Audi A4 TFSI 2.0 manual and from about 2500 miles, I had intermittent difficulties getting into 1st gear from standing. The gear will not engage until I slightly release the clutch or shift into a few other gears before it finally engages 1st. It does not occur on a regular basis but on average it happens at least once or twice on my 9 mile commute. This is really irritating and I never experienced this with any other the other manual Audis I have driven over the years. I had it at Leicester Audi where they concluded that the gear linkage was at fault. It was replaced but made no difference. I took it back and they diagnosed that the linkage was not adjusted correctly and rectified this. It made no difference. I took it back a third time and they drove it for 1 mile only and stated that everything works as it should and there was no problem and they were not authorised by Audi UK to investigate this issue any further. I contacted Audi UK customer service who offered me to have it look at by another Audi dealer. I took it to Audi Nottingham with the same result. Apparently everything is fine and they won't investigate further. Has anyone had issues similar to mine with the manual gearbox as well? When I contacted 2 gear box specialists an described the issue they both suggested that there is a problem with the synchro of the first gear which Audi is rejecting. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
