Hi there, as the title suggests cannot get out of jacking mode.
diary of events:- orange light appears followed by green flashing with a down arrow, rear end appears to drop down front stays up, eventually find 40 amp fuse flubbered, replace fuse, direct power to compressor and it runs but quite noisy, reconnect pump electrics and can get it to run using vcds but by now the car is right down and cannot get out of jacking mode. Have checked the other 2 fuses linked to the adaptive suspension and they were fine. It won’t pump up while in jacking mode
Have searched and searched and slowly losing the will to live.

So you have scanned the system for fault codes using VCDS or a similarly capable system?

There were 2 original fault codes. 01583 leak in system dated 24/9/21 and 02646 plausibility of level control system dated 20/11/21. These occurred a month before the rear end sank down. I have cleared those codes and now have 01437 control position not learned dated 30/12/21. Because it’s in jack mode it will not do anything. Maybe because the height sensors are at extreme low setting then the controller won’t respond to any other inputs. I had thought to jack the body up a little to see if that could release a signal or even try jacking whole car up with all 4 wheels off the floor and put it in drive and get to 15 mph and hope that took it out of jack mode. I can’t drive it on the road as it’s on a 4 post ramp and the break over angle is too great to get it off. Am still wondering why the 40 amp fuse blew, I have a feeling the pump is maybe dying and the current draw blew the fuse, lack of air lowered the rears and eventually the fronts as well.

In some cases I have had to use the workshop compressed air into the valve block to get the car to height where you can see what is going on an both valve block and compressor failure are common but I would expect an overheat code.

Developments:- jacked up on ramp started and engaged drive and at 10 mph plus it dropped out of jacking mode but dropped back in when under 10 so decide to build long run up to ramp and got it off and drove some distance, carefully at first, and it eventually raised itself up but still drops to jacking mode at sub 10 mph. Back on ramp and connect VCDS and have code 01437 control position not learned 005-no or incorrect basic setting/adaption-MIL ON. It’s back in jacking mode. Suggests to me that it has no reference point to base its height on. Found on another forum a guy with similar code and he replaced his suspension control module with a used one and that cured his problem. Did find a video for recoding the control module but difficult to follow and execute.
secondhand control units only seem to be available from Baltic States or Bulgaria - anyone had dealings with this neck of the woods?
