Seat Ibiza 6J '58 1.4 Help

Hi, background info: my sister-in-law recently tried to jump start her car and shorted the jump leads whilst ignition on. The car now has a power steering fault light on, car starts and runs but no power steering at all.

I ran an auto scan as below, but no comms with ECM, power steering etc. Wondering if anyone can help with where to start on this?

I am a VAG specialist and jump leads are banned from the building, if I caught a tech using them they may get attached to parts of his anatomy which could cause discomfort . I suspect there is some serious damage to a number of the vehicles ECU’s but the first step (you have done the first, nearly) is to check the fuses on the battery then attempt to discover why there are no steering ECU comms, this unit is directly under the battery below the inner wing.

So finally checked each and every fuse - all are ok, but still no comms as above, I have a feeling that this means some very costly damage to multiple control modules?
