    Hi,
Looking for pointers, 1.9 pd, 161k.
Car's running absolutely fine, no previous symptoms. Cold start today starts and runs normally. after about 15-20 secs. alarm chime, red oil light and 'STOP'. Obviously switched off. Scratched head, check oil level. Low-ish but well within the safe zone, topped up a little to be sure. Left it a few minutes, try again, same again.
Not getting the level warning, just the red light after about 20 secs. running. I would have expected the light to be on from key turn if there was a genuine absence of pressure.
    Thoughts anyone?
    Thanks.

Well, it appears (hopefully) it was a bad connection on the sensor by the filter.

    Well, this is embarrassing!
I've only had the car 16 years, you'd think I'd know the difference between the red oil light and the red coolant light. Apparently not and now feeling a bit of a dufus! Start up, a red light, chimes, switch off quick, assume the worst. What a drama queen. Thankfully didn't get a garage involved.
Anyhow, red coolant light, 'stop check coolant' message on a cold engine with correct level in the tank? Took the plug on and off the tank a few times in case of a bad connection and hasn't done it since (so far). Runs fine and comes up to temp as normal.
Anything else that could bring up the red coolant light like that?
