Interesting - it appears similar as I did suspect the ECU and had a look at it. However, mine is not wet not even damp although the wiring could still be suspect of course as I did not take it out - the connections seemed intact and secure. Also, having started, it runs perfectly and as yet, has not died on me or gone into limp mode. Anyway, I guess this will need further investigating as I do have those multiple 01314 No Signal/Communication/Intermittent faults. Thank you.

If the date is right some of these codes are 5 years old. Now that you have a log, clear them and see which ones come back.

Now that is weird. Thanks for spotting that as I was more concerned with all the figures and didn't take any notice of the date. However, that date is wrong as the post I made was an actual copy of the reading I got just a few days ago. Quite why is says 2016 I've no idea - maybe my ECM or maybe the VCDS program which is uptodate. Yes, I have repeatedly cleared all the fault codes and those 01314 and 03182 keep coming back everytime the parking brake fault pops up. If I have cleared the faults and the car starts without any issues there are no codes recorded - until the next time the fault appears.

Just checked the other post re. the 2008 Jetta with similar problems and indeed the dates appear five years out of date on the VCDS print out so that must be a fault with the Ross Tech program.
