Hey there.
2006 c6 here with a quite unique (I’d say) problem.
Basically the ESP/ASR light comes on every time I press the brake pedal. It goes out when I release the brake pedal.
Also at times, the ESP/ASR LIGHT flickers on and off while driving, like there’s no contact somewhere.
I’ve replaced the brake switch, so that is not the case.
Battery is new(VARTA) not coded since had no BEM code.
Scan showed nothing related to brakes other than - “ 01826 - Sensor for Steering Angle (G85); Supply Voltage Terminal 30” intermittent
Also the battery regulation showed
“Static current stage 1, 2, 3, 5, 6.” Intermittent
“ P1653 AUDI - ABS Control Module System Malfunction” intermittent
All of these appeared 2 days ago.

Last year it did the same, but it was from time to time and when warmer weather came it went away. Now it’s back. And no faults up to 2 days ago.

Has anyone encountered anything like this? I’ve searched quite alot on this and didn’t find too much.

I would say bad connection and this is where i would start "Supply Voltage Terminal 30"

Didn’t the earlier c6 suffer from abs pump connections corrosion?

that makes more sense - the ABS can be directly related to to a brake peddle press than the steering angle sensor... lol

The ABS needs to know which way the front wheels are turned to decide which callipers to operate to stabilise the car.

So don't discount the steering angle sensor fault.
