Hi, so it has gotten a little bit wet in the UK the past few weeks and i have noticed some condensation inside the cabin... i didn't investigate this further because i thought maybe it was normal UNTIL the dash lit up with warnings about ABS, TPMS, ACC, HANDBRAKE and more as you can see

The car had been in for a sunroof recall... is it possible they didn't fix it properly or broke something in the process? could the water be causing electrical faults?

This picture shows the driver side bonnet release with water ingress, i also have water in the little drivers glove box..

    Thanks

The Golf 7 is a mobile swimming pool, I have never known a VW so bad for water leaks.

Warning lights are now off after leaving the car overnight. I set a towel in the car beside the bonnet release handle... absolutely soaking. Had the car out for a drive with the heaters and the ac on full blast to try and help in any way i can until VW have it back.
Also noticing wet coming through the top of the pillar front driver side.

A common problem with the Golf 7 when they get wet is condensation inside the main power relay behind the glovebox, makes the car go haywire.

I've been reading up on the issues with the car regards water and all the places it enters the vehicle which i plan on checking after VW have their check on the sunroof, one thing i read was that a cause of these things may be a badly fitted windscreen but i'm not drawn towards this conclusion for my own car as it seems to be coming from above and wetting the roof liner also, albeit in the corner and down the pillar beside the screen.

Sunroof's in any form are more trouble than they are worth.

So I bought a tool for removing the handles on the roof liner and managed to get to sun visor down as well with a screwdriver or two. From what I can see by pulling down the roof liner, the leak is coming from a join in the frame around where the pop up fly guard is hinged. I have some sealer which I will pour around this area when I get a it all cleaned properly and a good dry day.
