I have a 2007 passat 2.0l diesel with a bkp engine and am getting an overboost code and limp home particularly when towing up hill. Aftrer reading up on it I thought it was sticking torbo vanes but they are moving ok. How can I test the manifold pressure sensor? Has anyone got any other ideas? Can the actuator adjustment go out or need resetting? Thanks for any help you can give

Even if the vanes move they can stick due to temperature and air speed changes, 99% of the time overboost is a sticking vanes

The turbo pressure control solenoid & the exhaust gas cooler solenoid are inter connected on this bkp engine code. I would be checking you vac reading at the turbo pressure control which should read approx 26/27 inhg
