VW Passat steering rack part number

Good evening, my Passat 2011 has a problem: red steering wheel light on dashboard and fault code 01309-power steering control module(J500) -04/ No communication. From doing some research all indicated a dead module J500 that is located on the steering rack. I managed to find a part number: 1K2 423 055 K, or 1K2 423 055 KX, i will need some help to confirm this and what are the other codes that are compatible, also what is best way to find the colour of the car, sticker in trunck is faded. If you are thinking of going used, it is a minefield of part numbers, if you message me the reg I can give you the current VW exchange part number and price and the Bosch ZF exchange part number.

Hello,
I have problem with my vw Passat 2008 fsi electric steering. The steering got stiff after mechanic changed the lower arm with little hit on the front beam when he was trying to loose the arm bolt.
I have diagnose with vcds and it reports that steering assistance torque sensor (G269) implausible signal. There is not steering light illuminating on the dash before and after diagnosis.
Please I need held to fix this as the electrician is is not a the steering rack fault as there is no warning light showing on the dashboard.
I need help to fix this.

That sensor is inside the rack and not a normal spare part. You have Generation 2 steering so the best idea is to find a Gen3 rack but you will need the wiring adapter kit from VW.
