    Hi,

A friend is asking what would happen if his Audi was re-mapped and then took it in for a ******* service. Would they plug into his ECU, notice it was re-mapped and then erase it and go back to the original map?!

As a side note, would he be able to tell (apart from driving!) that his re-map had been erased? i.e. could he tell via vag-com that the ECU had been altered? Where in vag-com should he look at? This is all assuming he's had a flash re-map done via the OBD port.

    Cheers.

The Delaer wont be able to see the re-map, all the updates are done without updating the orginal version numbers etc..

in regards to if the dealer decides to update the firmeware, thats a question for Chipped UK to answer?

    Rick
