Hi all, apologies for the long post

I bought an Audi A5 2.0TDI 2015 167BHP in May. I was driving when the Adblue light came on with 450miles left on. Car went into limp mode. I decided to take the car to an Audi specialist. The car apparently had no adblue in it although the light still said 350 miles. The adblue injector was also changed with genuine audi parts. The specialist had carried out the work however reported that the adblue light is still on even after he tried resetting it (SCR reset). He had run all the codes however the adblue light was still on counting down the miles. He advised I take it for a drive around 100miles to see if this will reset, it did not. I was advised only an audi dealership would be able to reset the light. (the only error code was a 00003 control module fault (basic adaption) showing the car had recognised It however the light was still there.

I took the car to Audi and paid their extortionate price of 3 hours of labour however this did not reset the light. I asked about software updates however they have none for my car apparently. They have failed to get rid of the light and report there is no mechanical issue with car. They have been guessing with no confirmation of what will actually get rid of this count down. Now they have come back saying my car is apparently remapped and cannot reflash the ECU back to stock. I am not aware the car has been remapped or changed in anyway. Audi are now stating if the car ECU cannot be placed back to stock (which they cannot do), a new ECU will cost around £1800 if you include the labour.

Any advice will be of great help!
    Thanks!

If it is remapped, Software Version Management may not be able to refashion if it sees the software level is correct where the map writer has covered their tracks so it has to be done aftermarket, most tuners have all the files or can easily obtain them.
