    Hi Guys,

Whilst I doing a service and oil change I came across these two plugs tucked behind the right hand headlight.

The wires disappear down below into the main harness. It's a 2016 car if that matters.

They just don't seem to belong to anything. They don't look like the normal Audi connectors. Has anyone got any ideas ( Crasher? )

I am wondering if they belonged to a tracker or similar form the cars past?

Feel free to chuck your ideas in.

    Cheers

There were very common on early models, you will see similar wiring in the cabin, these are production cables that haven’t been removed after the production process ended. There is also a TPI regarding this.

    Cheers for that.

Yes, I have come across lots of weird cables whilst doing mods but just never with plugs attached.
I might chop them off and tape up the wires to stop them rattling around.

Do they have any typical Audi markings? Are you the first owner of this car? Maybe they were used for some factory calibration of car modules? I haven't seen anything like this on any of my few Audi including the Q7 MY2016.
Maybe our Guru Andy has an idea? Because if he doesn't know, nobody knows.

No there are no markings on the connectors.
I am the second owner and as far as I know no mods were done before I got it.
    ( lots since ! )
Next time I have the car on the lift I'll see if I can find exactly where they go.

Just an update to this thread, whilst doing a service and had lower covers off I delved deeper and found the plugs and wires were connected to two 100A shunts ( used to measure current flow )
These where in line with two 10mm ground wires looked like they came out of the engine harness. Decided to remove them and connect the two wires direct to the ground post.
Must have been used during factory testing and just left?
    Think I've attached some pics?
