Window rattles

Hi all. Newbie here. Not sure how to use this site, seems like lots of different sections but anyway here's my problem,
I have a convertible 2008 a4 with a drivers window which works perfectly but it's very loose which makes it bang every time I go over bumps (British roads so lots of bumps!). I'm quite competent around cars so I'm I'm thinking its something rubber or maybe a guide that's broke, missing? I didn't want to strip out passenger door unless I have to. Any ideas? Is this common? Easy parts to buy? Thanks guys

It is actually a remarkably simple system for Audi, normally their Cabrio systems are a nightmare version of the complex saloon systems…they must have been having a bad day. You can’t really prepare parts wish but you can download the assembly instructions from erWin https://erwin.audi.com/erwin/showHome.do so you could do with say a week where the car can be stripped, parts orders and then fitted keeping the car dry and secure in the downtime.
