A niggling question. Ever since I've had the Touran (only 15 years!) one thing has always puzzled me. All through the colder months when there is condensation or frost on the screen, there is always a clear patch above the cubby bin area. Soon after buying the car the cubby was removed to fit a 11mtr radio (it fits a lot better than it looks in the photo) which I assumed was the root of this slight warmth but many experiments in disconnecting the power to the radio, or removing it completely doesn't affect the clear defrosted patch. I guess with the cubby tight in place whatever the warmth is in there can't escape to the screen. So what is in there that produces heat? And how can whatever it is use energy to produce this effect yet after a week or more the battery isn't flat?

11 meter radio, corr that’s a big one! ( G6VWV… and I kid you not, I was on 2m and 70cms in my yoof).

The matrix is constant flow even when set to cold but some heat always escapes and as we know, heat rises

Would the matrix not be stone cold overnight? The defrosted patch is there first thing in the morning before unlocking or startup.

Cb really, but 11mtr sounds a little less corny! The P38 install is not so subtle...
