    Hello
Someone please help, I have replaced fuel rail in my q7 3.0 tdi due to getting an fuel system pressure too low fault code however now i cant get the car to start!!... I have tried bleeding by turning the pump on with vcds but it turns on and off (doesnt stay running).. I then thought to try and jump the pump relay but I cant seem to figure out which relay it is (in the engine bay) .. the green relay jumped turned the cooling fan on and other relays i tried jumping nothing happened. So I now have a car that cranks but wont start. The battery has gone flat over 5 times now trying to get the car to start!!!! How do you bleed the fuel rails in this freaking car!!!

I can see lots of bubbles but the pump wont stay on with vcds so how am i supposed to bleed the bloody thing? Tried manual bleed but opening the injector line theres no fuel.

How do you bleed these cars?

    Thanks.
    Thank you.

I know this is an old thread but an answer here no the less. Usually the low pressure is down to a pump issue not a rail issue. I had trouble with vcds running my fuel pump long enough to bleed the system. I used a power probe on the underside of the J17 fuel relay. this runs the lift pump from the tank. You can try this method to get good fuel upto the high pressure pump. If you have a spare set of hands you can then use the same method to bleed the rails aslong as you have fuel flow through the hpfp
