Sorry in advance if this has been covered. Not been on the forum for a while but hoping someone can point me into the right direction. Owned the car about a year had no issues. 112k on the clock. Since owning car has mainly been driven locally and 80% of the time used Shell premium Diesel.

Car goes into limp mode at 75mph ish on motorway. Struggles to get passed 60mph after this. Turn the car off and back on and it is back to normal.

Also goes into limp mode when driving up a hill and the boots full. I.e shopping.

Had someone plug into a laptop with VCDS software ( dont think its registered)

1 fault found- 00564 Boost Pressure Regulation
    P0234- 000 - Limit Exceeded ( Overboost Condition)

Managed to get a family friend at a independant garage to check pipes. No leaks found.

Had a guy come recently to do a "Carbon Clean" ( gimmick???) Took it on mway, put in manual drove in 3rd, 4th then back in limp mode.

Read somewhere about a N75? If so where is this located? Any diagram/picture? Hoping im not going to have to replace turbo and would like to check out other parts to make sure its not a simple fix.

Im based in the North West if anyone knows a decent VW garage that doesnt have your pants off i would greatly appreciate it

This is a VERY common issue with the BKD and is often accompanied by hooting and howling noise, in nearly every case it is carbon build up inside the turbo and no snake oil chemical clean can shift it, it has to be bead blasted off so the turbo needs to come off and be rebuilt. Typically this costs around £900 including an oil and filter change but a common extra is the oil feed pipe which can twist and snap.

Thank you for the reply Crasher.

So looks like its a new turbo then.
Thought id give the 30pound option of the carbon clean a try before having to sell myself for the cost of a new turbo.

    Best scrub up then..😀

You can have yours rebuilt perfectly for much less, try Midland Turbo, they are an excellent company to deal with and their work is faultless.
