I have an oil sensor warning light come up on my 2003 2.4 ltr petrol V6 A4 Avant Estate B6.

I’ve had a search on Google and, unusually, I can find no information on the subject? I don’t even know where the sensor is located and whether I can change it.

Any advice on this problem would be gratefully received.

Neither/I don't know. There is the oil 'can' picture and the word "sensor". The following image (I hope / visible to me before I POST QUICK REPLY) is one I found on the internet.

The Owner's Manual states "If the OIL SENSOR symbol lights up, take the vehicle to an Audi dealer and have the oil level sensor checked. Until then it is advisable to check the oil level every time you fill up with fuel."

The first thing I did was check the oil level and it was OK.

Are the two (or more) oil sensors?

I would assume that the oil level sensor is on the sump?

On other models of Audi I have seen (on YOUTUBE) that there is a sensor by the oil filter which I assume is the oil pressure sensor?

Thank you for the information and PN.

I guess an oil drain/ change will be required (and new filter, of course). I’ll need one of those oil collection doobries too.
