    Hi everyone,

I am coming to the end of my 4 year PCP deal on my Q7 sline 272bhp I am looking at either keeping the Q7 with a number of toys on it. Although really could do with memory seats (unfortunately Andy is on the other side of the country &#128578 vs a new Q7 45TDI with some toys, an XC90 T8 or a Kia Sorento Phev 4. The one thing I would mention is that I want a 7 seater. So the PHEV Q7 is unfortunately not an option unless Andy has some way of retro fitting 2 extra seat lol.

So I guess the two main questions are:
Has anyone been in this situation and what did they do?
The second is are there really any big differences between the 45 and 50 engines? Whilst the stated MPG is virtually identical what are they like real world? Comparing it to the 272? I have a commute of 60 miles round trip on A and B roads averaging around 40mph.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Can’t compare the 45 to the 50 but I can tell you that the 50 has much better economy that my old 272 (both A7s). The 50 is as good performance wise as the 272 if not better.

The CRTC engine that has 272bhp is a good engine if you buy the later model years that have the camshafts revised, otherwise you do it under warranty
The 50 TDI engine has lots of issues, read the owners thread here and you will see the nightmare stories…

Most of the complaints on the 50 tdi related to lag/poor pick up in speed etc. All of that was sorted by an update which made a massive difference to the drive.
