    Hi all!

There's some oil on the electrical plug on my EGR and I want to unplug it and clean it in case this is causing my P0405 fault but I don't want to break it.

Can anybody tell me how to unplug it, please?

    Cheers,

    Paul.

The oil is coming out of the EGR valve, oil mist in the charge air system from the turbo and engine breather condenses back into liguid and is forced inside the EGR valve motor by spindle bore wear and then starts to escape through the plug. These plugs are, as you have noticed, very fragile and easy to break but a professional job to replace.

Thanks! Would swapping the EGR make sense?

    Cheers,

    Paul.
