MMI Google Maps vs Apple CarPlay Google Maps

I have a ‘21 A6 Allroad, and prefer the MMI nav for its complete integration across all screens. But, it seems to be useless at traffic updates. Much prefer the Apple CarPlay version for showing congestion and updating you on traffics issues ahead. Am I missing something or is the MMI version just lacking these features?

You don’t say where you located. If you in Europe then providing you have an active Audi Connect subscription and the car is connected to the internet then you should be receiving the Inrix traffic data which is primarily the same source as used by Apple and Google so you should see similar traffic data. If you have no Audi Connect subscription or connection then you are limited to TMC traffic data which is much inferior. If you are in the US then up you need a Sirius subscription to get their traffic data

Sorry UK and yes Audi Connect enabled. I have seen the occasional traffic message on the right hand side if the screen, but doesn’t show up as red on the route for example or provide a voice alert.
