AVJ vrs BEX exhaust manifold.

Looking to see if anyone can give me some advice. Searched the forums and found nothing.

I am looking to upgrade my K03 turbo to a K03s turbo charger. The AVJ engin came with a exhaust manifold 058 253 033E and the 058 145 703 N (K03) turbo charger. BEX comes with a exhaist manifold 06B 253 033AH and with the 06b 145 703 B turbo (K03s).

My questions (2) are:

1- Will the K03s turbo mount correctly onthe K03 exhaust menifold or will I need to also get the manifold?

2- Will the K03s (BEX) exhaust manifold work on the K03 engine (AVJ).

Any help or comments will be appreciated.

Hi All, Little update.

I was reading on several other A4 B6 sites and found out the difference in the 2 manifolds. The manifold for the BEX is made of inconel iron and will handle a higher heat load, due to the larger volume turbo, and not crack so easly. Size and fitting it is the same and has a larger internal volume.

The K03, K03s are the same physical size and will fit in the same place on the AVJ engine. The cat part numbeer is the same for both engines.
