    The G42 is combined with the charge air pressure sensor G31 in the boost pressure sensor mounted in the boost pipe from the intercooler outlet hose and to the throttle body hose, part number 038 906 051 C

    It's at the front in the big intercooler hose that goes across from the hard metal pipe section that is on top of the gearbox to the intake. Not easy to see as it is on the back side of the pipe near one of the bends.

    thank you!
    No that's the 2nd coolant temperature sensor. Those pipes are coolant pipes not boost pipes. You need to trace backwards from the intake manifold pipe (large diameter rubber and plastic piping) and it should be right at the front, almost central but on the inner side of the pipe slightly masked from view below and not that easy to see from above hence stating its a tricky little fella to locate.

    As Mitch says, you need it up in the air.

    @Crasher @DMitch16

    Thanks guys , its actually fairly easy to find from the bottom !

    An unrelated question for you guys , my Passat fold the mirror's via the mirror control button in the Driver Door , but my question is ! can i with VCDS make it fold the mirror's when i lock the car in the key fob and unfold when unlocked?

    Thanks !!!
