It seems not alot is available on the subject just about anywhere, I have the stage of un-repair of squeeling bearings and the mech says its going going gone.
I need to understand exactly the order of components to take off. Because the assembly slides out exactly, the distance it does would help to know and decide, on droping the engine and wish bone bolts and all the surrounding bolts.etc etc.
retightening torque settings would help too.

They are a bit evil to get out as you have to support and slide the engine over to the vans right to make room, all the tools you need a pretty much general hand tools.

Well thats lucky, and its looks more like a bitch thats evil and i cant get that out of my head.
Some guy has dismantled the whole left wheel assembly etc and confused the whole thing in videos.
Starting this tomorrow until clutch's arrived then it hits the fan.
Speaking of which, the drive shaft is disconnected at the wheel end or the bolts in engine?

This special tool vw207c is to get the fly wheel off, can I adapt something? Also how much sub frame can stay on, the book says a lot off but time is difficult.
IMPORTANT, how far does one pull the transmission before it is off, the reason is can I do it with less dropped engine...
