Hi everyone Hope is all well with you lot,

I have a polo GTi 2011 DSG Auto

I have been told by 2 garages that my Lambada is faulty.

Garage 1 Thinks it’s the Lambda Sensor Won’t fix it until light comes back on, (They don’t wanna fix something that is not broken or the wrong part) so Reset all codes, Says car is perfectly safe to drive, Just pull over in safe spot if engine management light comes on then turn car off then back on (March 2021)

Garage 2 (Been using him for years) says won’t fix Lambda sensors unless I can get official VW part as after market parts not good for the car, But cleaned Lambada Sensor (During MOT/Service) and Said car is perfectly safe to drive, Just pull over in safe spot when engine management light comes on & turn engine off then back on (June 2021)

Last time Engine Management light come on (Until today) was late February this year, car been fine since

Drove over 120 Miles today, Engine light came on Car just after pulling out of services on M4 car felt fine so pulled over turned car off for a few mins & light went out after,

Is there anything to worry about?? Can’t get car looked at until at least Monday as need to use car at weekend,

    What’s my best advice?

Update dunno why I logged in as different account lol,

it’s not exhaust sensor that is faulty, garage couldn’t find a fault with car on VAG reader but think it only happens when car runs hot & to bring it back when light comes on but car is safe to drive

Update I have since gotten back from family in west country and took to local garage been using him for years, he couldn't find a fault code with his reader & fully checked exhaust sensor said nothing wrong with car and safe to drive so off i went,

Fast forward to Friday mum Used car Friday (Her car broken down) to drive to pick family Member up from Heathrow car seemed to drive fine but Engine management light came back so took it to garage ASAP when i got home from work, loads of fault codes came back up main one was DSG Clutch others can't remember, he told me to drive it this weekend take it back to him next week so he can quote me prices

Failure of the Mechatronic unit in these 7 speed DQ200 series boxes is rife, we have seen quite a few literally burst the cases open with such force it bends the thick steel cover and tears through the bolt holes
