Has anyone come across these? Apparently some cars have them to prevent static electricity building up in/on the exhaust system caused by fast moving gas/air inside and outside the piping, which supposedly causes radio interference.

They are fitted as standard on some cars, including BMW, although some believe the strap causes radio interference.
