    Hi everyone

Had my Sharan tdi for three years now and it has 93k miles. It's had the recall done and while it has always driven fine it has never shown a warnibg for the AdBlue. I keep it topped up but don't honestly know how much is in the tank.

Anyway, i noticed a while ago that the cooling fans seems to be constantly running and will continue to run for apprix 5mins after the engine is shut off, unless the journey is only very short like half a mile. The temp guage never goes above 90 and the coolant is not low and has remained constant. I do mostly motorway miles commuting about 40 miles a journey. Occationally i get the DPF amber light come on, but this will go out once I've stopped and left the engine idle for 5mins.

I've had the egr, dpf and fuel system cleaned but the light still comes on occationally and the fans still run all the time, even in cooler weather. Is this normal for a diesel of this age and milage? The technician who did this recommended a new NOX sensor as this was ready very high or nothing at all. I have replaced this. And still no change.

It doesn't do great milage. The dash says average 38mpg but the cost is more like 30mpg

Any light someone can shed on the subject would be greatly appreciated as I am stating to get nervous about high costing egr's.

    Thanks.

I would fit a new reductant injector, these have a nasty habit of dribbling fluid which causes urea crystals to build up in the SCR and eventually block it which kills the power… this system is unique to the Sharalmbra 2 and failure of the SCR is a huge problem and they cannot be cleaned.

Yes, under the car pointing at the SCR unit under the car, the fastening clamp gets heavily corroded so one should be ordered in as well
