Golf 1.9 TDI (BXE) big end bearings replacement & oil pump removal, morning people I’ve got a job on next week on a golf (BXE) obviously understand that usually timing need to be at TDC before removing the oil pump on other VAG’S 2.0 TFSI engine's, take it that oil pump can be removed without removing front main oil seal cover right? I’ve listed the parts below is there anything else which I’ll need thanks

    new parts bought from TPS

    rod bolts
    big end bearings
    oil sprocket bolt
    oil pickup o’ring
    sealant

No, it’s very straightforward. Post a pic of the shells when done to show if the uppers are hammered as usual.
