Hi all. Just a plea for help as my Crafter has suddenly developed 3 faults. No idea if they're related but here goes first noticed the radio head unit doesn't work. (just before a 300 mile trip...)
Later I noticed that the USB port in the pocket o. The dash just in front of the steering wheel wasn't working. Got home from the trip and have been trying to find the fault for a few hours now and have just realised the cab lights aren't working either.

    All were working yesterday

I've checked every fuse in the a pikar fuse box. removed them l to inspect none blown. Also checked the box under the drivers seat none blown. The vw fuse guide in the hand book makes no mention of a fuse relating to the Radio or the USB. It does mention fuse 19 as the interior lights. (7.5 amp) I've checked it and it's fine also swapped it out just in case. Still nothing. I wondered about a common relay but can't see anything listed.

    Any ideas chaps?
    Cheers

You should get a code reader onto your crafter.

There are so many seperate control units, mostly Mercedes all over the vehicle that old fashioned tracing every wire and signal might not even fix the issue if a different unit has disabled another for some reason.

The USB connects to the radio system, so that's linked. But the overhead light is seperate to them.
All operate via the main (Mercedes) board above the fuse block on the left footwell.

There are some common Fuses and relays under the driver seat too... but if you just beg, borrow, steal or buy a code reader (maybe VCDS, but ideally something that can also see Mercedes Sprinter codes) you will save so much time.
