0n doing some checking on this model wiring diagram etc. The boost pressure sensor on this vehicle & exhaust pressure sensor & boost air temperature sensor all share the same 5v feed via ecu pin no a82 they also share the same earth at ecu pin no a82. The 5v feed has to be within spec 4.98-5.2 could be that it has lost it switched earthing at the ecu or wiring load tested

If it was the feed, you should see other codes.

    Hi Crasher

The part number is OEM 04L.906.051.C

This is the part number on the original part and the replacement part I ordered.

I have the symptoms with both parts, randomly the engine management light will come on and goes into limp mode. Normally on short journeys it is absolutely fine but on longer journeys it will start at some point.

There is however one pretty steep hill out of the town I live in and I am pretty much guaranteed every time I leave and go out up the hill the engine management light will come on. This is the only time it consistently comes on.

    Hi Crasher,

No, it was an after market part. All I could get at the time.

Do you think I need to order a genuine one direct from Audi?

The EPS cross reference is correct, that company is just another front for ******* Berlin, good prices, incredible range access, terrible customer service and if you have a problem with a delivery; you are stuffed. If you have a warranty problem, their service is not fit for purpose; it's worse than TPS and that's saying something!

    Cheers Crasher,

Do you think I should change this for an Audi original part given I am still having the problem?

Or do you think this could be a sticky actuator?

Not sure what to try next.

    Cheers

Without being able to try and test it myself I am unsure but I refuse to fit pattern sensors.
