I know this is cinda a repost but iam getting desperate. Need to order parts today if I will have them delivered befoore next weekend. I have some problems with my passat. It stopped a lot and I needed to crank 5/8 times for up to 20 seconds for it to start. I had a code p1674,and white smoke when it started. but it said on the interweb that it was probably cam sensor under the timing belt. I changed it and everything seemed fine.

Until I drove it for 40 min and it stopped agean. 1 gear maybee 1500 rpm. Started after 4/5 long cranks. Drove it furter to the city where it stopped 2 Moore times, waiting for rigth of way. Neutral 850 rpm. Altso now I needed a lot of cranking.
After this I just revved the engine when I had to stop and I managed to drive 2 hours home.
Car now shakes a little in idle.
Today I got yellow check engine ligth. Only with ignition on. Dissappear when I start.
When I drive at even speed sometimes my rpm falls from say 1800 to 1600 for half second and goes straight back up. (probly this that make the car stall in idle )
EQ_RATB1 S1 showed with red numbers at a value over 3.000 in idle with everything else in black writing on the scan tool

I have had the code for cylinder 3 misfire 1 time. But I think this is becouse I managed to stretch the gasket on the intercooler air hose. I have ordered a new one.

The MIL should (must) come on with the ignition, do you still have code P1674 and in which controller? Which code reader are you using?

I can't check on our 2009 estate as it is out on loan. You need a better VAG specific code reader, the one you are using is possibly giving you incorrect information.
