As above, my A4 was running rough so had it scanned by a friend. Misfire on 3 cylinders, so replaced the 3 coil packs and all 6 spark plugs. On removing the plugs, some of the plug holes had traces of oil in them, and, on the old plugs I removed

    Any ideas what it could be? covered 125k, 2003 A4 3.0 v6

Small weep from the cams cover seals, just clean it every service. Replacing the cam cover seal usually fails as the covers distort and you end up doing it again with a new cover. Unfortunately it can also be the cam carrier to head sealant face and this is very involved to deal with.

Thanks Crasher - Had the gaskets done at a local garage. Since then I've still got a misfire on Cylinder 6. Swapped the coil packs and spark plug with that from cylinder 5, misfire still with cylinder 6. Is there a way of testing an injector? Or any idea what else it could be?

A colleague uses VCDS and all it comes up with is 'misfire cylinder 6'
