    It's leaking or has been leaking oil pretty badly, all black stuff all over pipes below.

    That is the inlet manifold flap. It isn’t so much an oil leak in the true sense, but showing oil that would have been burnt during combustion that has come through the charge air system from the crankcase ventilation system and a little which escapes naturally from the turbo compressor side shaft piston rings. This oil is forced into the manifold flaps mechanism as the seals on its shaft wear and is then forced out of the mechanism housing when it is full.

    Not really, it being an EU5 emissions car means that due to Covid backing off, the tax gathering emissions zones are on again so you will have to pay on top of what you already have to… we may have a Conservative government but socialist councils still call the shots locally, but don’t worry, it will all “save the planet”…
