    Hi,

Just bought a golf plus with as few little issues. The cruise control, cigarette lighter and rear door lock don't work.

However, when I plug in my Bluetooth OBD2 scanner I don't get any fault codes. Anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

That is because the codes are not OBDII and your scanner can't see what the problem is.

    Ah, right. That makes sense.

How would I read the codes then?

Any recommendations on a scanner that I can buy?

All I can recommend by use is VCDS.

Door lock will be the motor they always fail. Vcds will show this. For the cruise control I’ve seen the switch on the stalk fail although other issues can stop the cc from working for safety reasons. Again vcds helps a lot.
