    Hey all,

on my A7, the front and rear camera quality is appalling. i have the tech pack installed as well as parking pack advanced which gives me both the front and rear camera. i know this has been noted by other users in the past as being due to a cheap, low res camera fitted by Audi but is there anything i can do to improve?

I know you can buy a 3rd party rear boot handle with a camera from places like amazon but would this improve things? its more the rear camera resolution i want improved (not too bothered about the front)

    thanks guys!

I can’t comment on the replacement thing but I really wish they’d consider installing the rear camera with a night vision mode. It couldn’t be too difficult to include some infrared LEDs within the reversing light enclosure that illuminate in situations when the lights are on and the cameras are active.

I have to say the reversing camera is pretty much pointless in the dark as the reversing lights on the 2020 A/S7 are useless!

Cameras on mine are very crisp
and clear. I have the 360 cameras which may have a bearing on this? Be interesting to know if there is a difference.

ah okay, maybe the 360 one is a better quality? what year and packs do you have on your car

mine is a 66 plate with advanced parking, so front and rear cameras. no 360 but i have the corner front and rear cameras which i believe works off the standard front and rears.

quality is honestly shockingly poor. makes me wonder if its faulty?

Quality can be subjective to personal standards, 2015 A6 with 360 here, quality difference in newer models is noticeable.

Mines a 2019 Vorsprung. My last A7 was 2016 and didn’t have cameras and it is not something I would have specced, it just came with it on my current one.

As said the quality is very good - but as above maybe perhaps not so much in the dark? Not sure on this as I have good lighting on my drive so wouldn’t have noticed.
