A6 seat - killing my back!

I'm surprised you find a problem with the seat, because unless it is worn out the support is rather good in Audis.... ...I've had more back problems than most people over the last 15 years, including breaking my spine TWICE.

TWICE!?? How did you do that (if you don't mind me asking) & May I suggest a change of occupation/hobby!? Well for me that'll do - I'm going to adjust my seat slightly and at the next sign of back-pain I'm off to see about claiming on the medical insurance!

My previous car had really comfortable and supportive sports seats, with lumbar support - which I still miss on the A6.

Actually most physios don't rate lumbar supports in the least. It's usually merely compensating for bad posture. What they do like it good pelvis support, which the A6 definitely has. Try sitting further back in your seat, and adjust your mirror a bit higher. This will stop you slouching (assuming you use your mirrors), man was not designed to sit all day, if you slouch, it makes things much worse.

Not sure of the difference between lumbar and pelvis support to be honest, what I can tell you is that my back around and above the waistline doesnt feel supported so if I let the seat support me then my back gets curved, if I straighten my back then I am left with a void between me and the seat.

Maybe I will just have to get some foam and try cutting shapes out to fill it out some more. A little dissapointed, never had this problem on BMW 5 series or Honda Accord.

Is it a newer car? Mine is older but has the sport leather seats which has 4 way adjuastable lumber support. Maybe you could retrofit one? The seat I mean?
