Bit of a random one this. Keep getting GPS signal loss on my Android phones ( S7 and latterly S9 Samsung) while inside the car. Tried all the fixes from within the phone but the only way to get the signal back is to stop the car, get out and move away from it. The AMI sat nav actually works but shows 0 satellites so not sure how that's possible. I'd hazard a guess that some onboard device is interfering with the signal as I can have the phone on the top of the dash or hold it next to the open window and my GPS status app shows zero satellites. Occasionally it will look like it's getting one or two but they quickly disappear. Outside the car it will lock on dozens of satellites in a few seconds every time like it should. Either it's a new car or a new phone but the later may not change anything.......
Anybody ever come across anything like this? The only info I can get from fruitless internet searching is that the signal is being jammed.

LOL. We just let go of the FL2 -wife is an apple fan - and she now has a F-Pace.
One of the threads over there is al about EZ-pass, garage door openers, and radar detectors not working.
The answer was that the heat/solar reflective layer in the windows block the signals, not the heated screen. All jags have 2 small squares without the reflective layer just behind and either side of the rear view mirror to allow fitment of such devices.
The jag comes with its own WiFi, i wonder if this is part of the reason?

Even with the window down and the phone held outside it's won't connect. Just reactivated an older phone to keep in the car so I can check if it's the phone or car next time it happens.

The last time it happened I sat with the ignition off and the key out with the phone next to an open window and the GPS only locked when I actually got out of the car and walked away from it.
